Official payment method on GunBroker

We are proud to announce GunTab is now an official payment option of GunBroker.com, the largest online gun marketplace in the world. GunTab brings a new level of safety and convenience to GunBroker.com transactions, and empowers GunBroker.com users to buy and sell with anyone.

What changed on GunBroker?

Sellers on GunBroker.com can now click "GunTab" as one of the payment options they accept. (See the GunBroker release notes for details.) Previously the most appropriate option was "Escrow", but that was ambiguous. Now it's clear when GunTab is a payment option.

GunBroker now officially recommends using GunTab for payments, and invites sellers to enable "Pay with GunTab" buttons on their listings. This is a game-changer for Armslist users.

Why is GunTab useful on GunBroker?

GunTab has some unique advantages on GunBroker.com:

  • Full protection. Buyers are fully protected from scams, and sellers are fully protected from chargebacks – guaranteed. This far surpasses the GunBroker Buyer Protection Policy, which only partially protects buyers.
  • Lower cost. GunTab costs as little as 2.5%. This is half the cost of GunBroker's OutdoorPay, which charges 5%.
  • More privacy. GunTab setup does not require facial biometrics or social security number, like GunBroker's OutdoorPay.
  • Online payment. For anyone previously using checks or money orders, GunTab is an instant upgrade to online payments by credit card and bank account.

By making transactions safe and easy, GunTab encourages more transactions to occur. Buyers can buy from anyone on GunBroker.com, not just sellers with long histories. Likewise, sellers can avoid the chicken-and-egg problem of being unable to sell because they haven't received feedback. GunTab is a credible promise that a transaction will be successful.

What should sellers do?

As a seller, you should enable GunTab in your GunBroker.com listings. It's easy. When creating a new listing, in the "Payment options" list, click "GunTab".

With the "GunTab" option enabled on your listing, buyers can choose to pay with GunTab after winning an auction or clicking "Buy now".
